Ms. Naoko Kato
She received Bachelor’s degree from Musashino Academia Musicae in Japan, and Masters’ degree from Chicago Musical College in the U.S. in piano performance. She has started studying accompanying and chamber music since she was in the university, and she became a keyboardist at Chicago Civic Orchestra in 1997. From 2000, Naoko has become guest pianist, exclusive pianist at Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, Bangkok Opera, Bangkok Community Theater and more. In 2006, she was a soloist for piano concerto which was conducted by Mr. Hikotaro Yazaki for MIE Philharmonic Orchestra in Japan. Since 2011, she has joined Charity Concert “Pray for Japan” which has started after a huge earthquake. In 2014, Naoko had a solo recital in Bangkok. Since this period, she has started to have joint concerts with Ms. Eri Okuzawa(soprano). This year 2016, this joint concert will be held on 25th September.
Mr. Philippe Guihon-Herbet - Piano Teacher
Philippe Guilhon-Herbert is a French concert pianist and professor currently living in Bangkok.
He graduated from Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris, first Prize piano and chamber music, and gave récitals and performances in Paris, Berlin, Münich, New York, Salzburg...
He recorded 8 awarded cds and had several special Prizes at International Competitions and Academy (Concours d'Orléans 2008, Académie Maurice Ravel..).
He is regularly invited to french Radio France musique, Radio Classique. And has over 10 years teaching experience as piano professor at Conservatoire du 6ème Paris. His repertoire includes many piano Concertos ( Chopin, Mozart, Beethoven, Schumann, Liszt, Brahms) as well as 20th century composers (Ravel, Stravinsky, Prokoviev, Takemitsu...) For the last 5 years, he had the support of the Swiss Life Foundation, regarding to his concert and recordings activity in Europe.
Ms. Chinami Chibata
Ms.Chinami started learning piano at the age of five with Hiroko Seyama, and at the age of 10, She moved to Greece and learned the piano with Mrs.Tsaparis until age of 15 in Athens. She stopped learning the piano once and plays drums during she was a high shool student. She back to the piano when she was at age of 27, after graduated MA of SiIpakorn University. The reason she backed to the piano is the moment she could hear her own piano sounds in her mind while she listened to the performance of famous pianists. She took lesson professionally with Walter S. who is a Belgian piano teacher who lives in Bangkok. About two years study with him seriously she passed grade 8 of AMEB, however after that she preferred to seek the way of her expression by self-education, because she understands even the best piano teacher in the world cannot switch her arms and point out the problems of her fingerings. She still believes that life-experiences themselves effects to her sounds and performance, that’s why she works for a coordinator between Thailand and Japan, as well.
Chinami Shibata becomes a Piano teacher since 1998, start teaching the piano for Thai Since 2000. She can speak Japanese, Thai, English,
Her students are from Asians and Westerns, children and adults. They enjoyed learning music during her. So number of her students during the last 18 years counted for more than 100 students. She often customizes the way to teach for each pupil, according to pupil’s character and demands. Besides, she has a course for preparing LCM, ABRSM and Trinity.
None of her student failed, beside mostly marked as “Distinction” and “Merit” Only two candidates were “passed”
Mr.Saithong (Ajarn Ken) - Piano Teacher
Mr.Saithong started his first piano lesson when he was 8 years old. He graduated in the music faculty from Chulalongkorn University major in piano performing and music education. During his education he has studied with Dr. Suwanna Wangsopon and Dr. Noppanan Janorrathaikul. He had a lot of experiences in performing on stage.
He performed on stage in piano solo, piano duet and piano ensemble. He was chosen to be a music teacher in Satit Chulalongkorn school.
Nowadays he is still studying with many famous pianists.
Ms. Pancharee Ungpanya (Ajarn Ning)
Ms. Pancharee started learning piano at the age of 13 with Wannasiri Homsanit, one of a student of Piyabhand Sanitwongse who is the national artist in performing arts in 1998. She studied have had trainings with Jun Komatsu during 2005 – 2007 and Christopher Tutin in 2010. She performed at Piyabhand Sanitwongse's concert every year from 1990-1997.
She passed grade 8 of Trinity College London, Piano Examination in 1998.
She have a lot of experience in teaching and sending students to take piano exams in both practical and theory at the institute of London College of Music (LCM) up to grade 8 for 16 years. She also has experience in teaching piano with children with special needs and special cares for 10 years.
